Women’s Tennis Defeated By UMass In Spring Season Opener


WARWICK, R.I. – The Providence College women’s tennis team was defeated by UMass, 7-0, in the team’s spring season opener at TRI West Bay on Sunday, Jan. 28.

The Minutewomen claimed the doubles point in sweeping all three draws to take a 1-0 lead. UMass claimed all six singles matches in straight sets en route to the win.

The Friars return to action on Saturday, Feb. 3 for a BIG EAST match against Villanova at 4:15 p.m. at TRI West Bay.
