BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (BUBearcats.com) – The Binghamton University women’s tennis team (0-4) fell 7-0 to Bucknell University Sunday morning inside the Lane-Starke Tennis Center.
The Bearcats finished out their season opening weekend against the Bison after dropping a 7-0 match to Boston University at home on Friday night.
Abby Ackroyd and Nitya Vyas put together BU’s best doubles finish for the second straight match, earning two games versus Bucknell but ultimately dropping the match 6-2.
Caterina Casadei and Vyas earned four games apiece against the Bison in the second and fifth singles slots, respectively. Both Bearcats dropped their matches in straight sets, 6-1, 6-3.
Up next, Binghamton travels to West Point, N.Y. to take on NEC opponent Sacred Heart University, Jan. 26. Match time is slated for 11 a.m.
