The Mocs Women’s Tennis team got off to a fast start in doubles, with Rozalie Dohnalova and Alice Hall getting their first doubles win of the 2024 campaign. This is a big doubles victory for the Women Mocs team. The match score was 6-2 with the Mocs beating MTSU’s number one doubles team. Chattanooga’s Rozalie ‘Rose’ Dohnalova & Alice Hall defeated MTSU’s Rutuja Chaphalkar & Cassidy Mataia. 

Not to mention, the Mocs had fought the good fight, getting a key victory in singles. 

Number five singles player Emma Pedretti dropped a set early, losing 6-7. She played confidently and won the second set, 6-2. The last set was galvanizing, winning 6-3. The Italian won her first collegiate singles match in her career. 

UTC did everything, by all means, to stay in contention with MTSU but was defeated one match to six. The Mocs defeated Tennessee State on Sunday 6-1 and are now 1-2 on the season. They’re back in action Friday against North Alabama.
