CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women’s tennis closed out their fall season with a dominant final day of the Harvard Invite.  The Crimson racked up three doubles wins and swept singles to add six additional victories. 
 
The Crimson started the day out strong, going 3-1 in doubles. First-years Kavya Karra and Stephanie Yakoff won their second match of the weekend, improving to 8-2 and remaining at the top of the squad in doubles victories.
 
Sany Gawande and Natalie Block and Charlotte Owensby and Kate Kim both improved to 2-0 for the season after teaming up for the first time yesterday.  Gawande and Block dropped the least number of games of any Crimson duo by besting their opponents, 6-1. 
 
After successful doubles play, the Crimson continued their dominance by going undefeated through their six singles matches.  Maxi Duncan, Angel You, Owensby, Yakoff, Kim, and Gawande each downed their Brown opponents in straight sets. 

Harvard Highlights

• With their pair of wins this weekend, Karra and Yakoff continue to sit with the best doubles record at 8-2. 
• First-years Yakoff and Kim both went a perfect 3-0 in singles play this weekend.  Either player both added two doubles wins to their resumes. 
• Kim continues to lead the Crimson in singles wins this fall being the first to reach double digits at 10-4. 
• Through doubles and singles play, Gawande was undefeated this weekend with a record of 4-0.
