PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton university women’s tennis team returns to Jadwin Gymnasium on Feb. 2 when it hosts Temple then on Feb. 4 against Kentucky.
The Tigers host the Owls at 1 p.m. and the Wildcats at 1:30 p.m.
Princeton has a 2-1 record on the season and is coming off a 4-3 victory over Denver in the consolation match at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Kickoff Weekend in Durham, North Carolina. For the Tigers, Maia Sung and Bella Chhiv are ranked No. 40 in doubles while Madeleine Jessup is ranked No. 93 in singles.
Temple is 0-1 on the season, most recently falling to VCU, 7-0, on Jan. 21 in Richmond, Virignia. Maiko Uchijima and Samantha Nanere are ranked No. 20 in the ITA doubles rankings.
Kentukcy has a 4-1 record in 2024 and fell 4-0 to No. 1 UNC on Jan. 27 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, in its most recent match. Prior to facing the Tigers, Kentucky will take on Columbia in New York, New York, on Feb. 2. In the ITA rankings, Lidia Gonzalez and Elizabeth Eades check in at No. 25.
