CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women’s tennis opens play at the ITA Super Regionals tomorrow in West Point, N.Y. with eight Crimson representing the squad. This year the Crimson will send four singles players and three doubles teams to compete for spots in the ITA Fall Nationals in November.
For singles, Holly Fischer and Kate Kim qualified for the super regionals following 3-0 performances at the ITA Northeast Regionals two weekends ago. The duo will join automatic qualifiers, Maxi Duncan and Charlotte Owensby.
In doubles, first-years Stephanie Yakoff and Kavya Karra punched their tickets to the super regionals to join two other Crimson doubles teams in the super regionals. The duo will join the automatically qualified teams of Fischer and Duncan and Rachel Arbitman and Iveta Daujotaite.
What to Know
- Fischer enters the tournament as the only remaining undefeated Crimson player. With a 3-0 weekend at the ITA Northeast Regionals, the junior now sits at 5-0 for the fall season.
- Kim has had a strong opening to her first-year campaign, compiling the most wins by any Crimson player with a record of 7-2.
- Arbitman and Daujotaite last competed at the ITA All-American Championships where they picked up a first round win in the doubles main draw over Berlanga/Martinez (Tulsa).
- Yakoff and Karra currently lead the team in doubles wins as the pair of first-years currently sit with a record of 6-1.

The Crimson will return home to close out the fall season on Friday, November 3 through Sunday, November 5 as they host Boston College, Brown, and Columbia in the Harvard Invite.
