Women’s Tennis Set to Conclude Fall Season at Stetson Invite – Kennesaw State University Athletics


 
KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State women’s tennis team is heading south to appear in the last tournament of the fall season. The Owls will compete in the Stetson Invitational this weekend in DeLand, Fla. Matches are set to begin Friday. Nov. 3 and conclude on Sunday, Nov. 5. Freshman Ema Baraniakova, Terezia Baraniakova, and Ivana Gresova and Laura Nadaska will be representing the Owls, along with Taylor Dean, Sofia Madrid, Izabelle Persson and Sophia Unger.
 
Ins and Outs of Fall Season
Fall tennis consists of individual tournaments, while the team matches occur only in the spring. The Owls have competed in five individual tournaments this fall.

Tournament Format
Matches will begin at 9 a.m. and will consist of doubles and singles play throughout the tournament. Teams will compete against each team hosted in the tournament over the span of the weekend. Teams included in the tournament are Stetson, Kennesaw State, Troy, Murray State, FAMU, Bethune Cookman, and Saint Leo.
 
Bethune Cookman and FAMU will combine to play as one team for the duration of the tournament.
 
Match Schedule
Friday, November 3 – KSU vs. Murray State (4 doubles followed by 8 singles)
Saturday, November 4 – KSU vs. Saint Leo (4 doubles followed by 8 singles)
Sunday, November 5 – KSU vs. Troy (4 doubles followed by 8 singles)
 
Next Up
The Kennesaw State women’s tennis team will prepare for the upcoming spring season, which will begin in late January of 2024.
