LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Bellarmine University women’s tennis team will be getting the max out of its homecoming.
Competing in the Eddie Weber Tennis Complex for the first time in the 2023-24 campaign, Bellarmine (0-3) will host three matches as the Knights will welcome Marshall (1-1) for a 9 a.m. (ET) contest Thursday before a Friday doubleheader that includes a 10 a.m. meeting with Middle Tennessee (2-1) followed by a 3 p.m. clash with in-state foe University of the Cumberlands (1-1).
All three opponents have claimed team wins this season. Marshall recorded a 7-0 victory over Longwood, Middle Tennessee defeated Jacksonville State 4-3 and Chattanooga 6-1, and Cumberlands beat Cumberland (Tenn.) 5-2.
Bellarmine’s first three matches this spring were all against Power-5 programs in Indiana, Wake Forest and No. 18 Tennessee.
Against the Hoosiers, Bellarmine won at Nos. 5 and 6 singles, as junior Yeva Kramarova and freshman Nikola Kollaritsch claimed victories. The Knights duo of sophomore Vendula Kryslova and freshman Erica Kanna Hagi was also victorious at No. 2 doubles.
