PITTSBURGH, Pa. — The Western Michigan women’s tennis team picked up its second-straight win after taking down Saint Francis (PA), 4-1, on Saturday.
DOUBLES
The Broncos picked up the doubles point for the second straight match. Lindsey Zieglar and Valeriya Monko gave WMU the advantage with a 6-2 win over Valeria Vinces and Diana Zuba at No. 1. Karin Hamilton and Audrey Smitek secured the point for WMU after a 6-3 win over Reagan Mangan and Sara Jankovic at No. 2.
SINGLES
Monko, Polina Khotko and Smitek all picked up two-set wins to push the Broncos to the win. Monko won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 2 over Mangan. Khotko picked up a 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 4, while Smitek defeated Vinces 6-2, 6-4.
