Work By Mashpee Artist Richard Pawlak On View At Woodruff’s

“Seeking Human Kindness,” an exhibition of paintings by Richard Pawlak, will be on view at Woodruff’s Art Center from Thursday, June 5, through July 3. An opening reception will take place on June 5 from 5 to 6:30 PM. The event is free and open to the public.

“Seeking Human Kindness” is a series inspired by the artist’s observations of people on the streets of Boston. Mr. Pawlak trained as a master interior painter and plasterer in the Venetian tradition, and has worked in Boston restoring historical buildings, such as the Boston Opera House, the Ritz Carlton and the Boston Public Library. In his personal work he draws upon his skill as a craftsman to create what he calls “modern frescoes,” acrylic paintings that are painted into black plaster on panels.
