G. A. Wells, Central Kentucky Art Guild’s Artist of the Year, said she was encouraged to pursue art for longer than she can remember.

An artist herself, Wells’ mother made sure to include visits to local museums as a priority while on her many trips to Europe with her daughter as she grew up.
