At 9:59 Friday night, WPSD Local 6 began its final newscast at the station at 100 Television Lane. The broadcast capped off nearly 70 years of news coverage based at that location, ahead of Local 6’s move to The Paducah Sun building downtown.

The day sparked a range of emotions for journalists at the station, many of whom grew up watching Local 6 before starting their careers in broadcast news.
