AUSTIN, Texas – Baylor women’s tennis earned its first victory of the season, wrapping up the ITA Kickoff Weekend with a 4-1 win over SMU on Saturday afternoon at the Texas Tennis Center. 
 
Miska Kadleckova and Danielle Tuhten opened doubles action with an impressive 6–1 win at the No. 2 position while the two remaining courts were locked at four-all. SMU came out on top, 6-4, on court one before Isabella Harvison and Zuzanna Kubacha earned Baylor’s first doubles point of the season with a 6-4 victory on three. 
 
Fifth-year senior Isabella Harvison bounced back from Friday’s setback and earned her first singles win of the year with a 6-1, 6-1 victory on court five before Tuhten secured her first victory of the season at the No. 6 position to put the Bears ahead, 3-0, in the match. SMU used a straight-set win on court two to jump on the board, but Kadleckova clinched the victory for Baylor with her second singles win of the season.
 
The Bears head to the pacific northwest next weekend when they travel to Seattle, Washington, to take on Washington State and No. 22 Washington.
