Bloomington, Minn. – The Marquette University women’s tennis team (0-2) fell short 4-3 against St. Thomas (2-0) Sunday afternoon.
The Tommies opened the match by claiming the doubles point, given St. Thomas a 1-0 advantage going into singles play.
Emilija Kojcic picked up a straight set victory (6-3, 6-3) at the No. 1 spot. Sarah Badawi and Andie Weise took single wins at the No. 3 and 4 spots.
Despite the three singles action wins for the Golden Eagles, St. Thomas earned three wins to take the 4-3 decision.
UP NEXT: The Golden Eagles will travel to the Windy City to take on Chicago State for a 11:00am CT match on Saturday, January 27.
