MILWAUKEE-The Marquette University women’s tennis team (0-0) travels to Minnesota (0-0) on Saturday, January 20 for 2024 dual season opener.
First serve is set for 12 p.m. CT at Baseline Tennis Center in Minneapolis.
Marquette returns five seniors, Sarah Badawi, Lara Kaiser, Emilija Kojcic, Andie Weise and Tiana Windbuchler, in addition to sophomore Emma Davis. Purdue transfer Emma-Jane Barclay and Missouri State transfer Tiera Jarmond also join the squad this season.
“Our team is anxious to get dual matches going, they have worked hard in practice, and everyone came back from the holiday break in good shape,” Director of Tennis Jud Shaufler said. “We are excited to see how we compete against other teams and are looking forward to growing throughout the season.”
The Golden Eagles will travel to Bloomington on January 21 to continue the opening weekend Minnesota road trip to take on St. Thomas at 1 p.m. CT.
