West Virginia’s tennis team ran its spring record to 4-0 with a pair of 4-3 road wins over the weekend. After downing Marshall 4-3 in Huntington on Saturday, the Mountaineers defeated Virginia Tech, 4-3, on Sunday at the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center in Blacksburg, Virginia.
West Virginia (4-0) won the dual match in the last singles match of the day as junior Tatiana Lipatova defeated Virginia Tech’s Erika Chang, 7-6, 3-6, 6-1. On Saturday, Maja Dodik’s 6-2, 6-0 win secured the instate victory over the Herd.
