‘Yellowstone’ Drama Escalates as Cast and Creator Ditch Panel

The uncertain future of the hit show Yellowstone seemed to get even worse on Saturday, when most of the cast and even the show’s creator, Taylor Sheridan, didn’t show up at PaleyFest in Los Angeles as planned.

Only Josh Lucas, Wendy Moniz, Mo Brings Plenty, Dawn Olivieri, and Paramount Network president Keith Cox showed up for the planned appearance. Kevin Costner, who plays the main character in the series, wasn’t there, which added to rumors that he’s ready to quit. At first, it was said that the whole cast, including Costner and stars Kelly Reilly and Luke Grimes, would be there.

People in the audience reportedly didn’t know about the last-minute change until after they had already arrived. “Yeah, as someone who paid over $100 per ticket, I’m pretty pissed. That was quite a bait-and-switch. “People are leaving,” one person in the audience tweeted as the panel began. But Cox told the audience that he’s “very confident” Costner will keep going with the series, even though Paramount can’t even get the cast together for a simple panel.
