Fashion girlies everywhere are starting to prepare for Australian fashion’s biggest week of the year—Afterpay Australian Fashion Week.
The week-long affair, which takes place at Sydney’s Carriageworks between the 15th to 19th May, sees the Australian fashion industry’s biggest names descend onto the city for a week of runway shows, workshops and exclusive fashion events.
But what about those fashion-obsessed girls (and guys) who don’t work in the industry? Are you still able to attend the event?
The short answer is yes—but it’s just a little more complicated than that.

Attend A Panel Or Workshop
Alongside the runway shows, the event also offers a selection of curated conversations, panels and special events, including:

Hit A Pop-Up Bar
The event’s pop-up bars are open to the general public and are a great way to spot some of the fabulous street style, celebs and influencers without having to attend a runway show.
Glenfiddichs Valley of the Deer Disco And Bar
Open between 3pm and 10pm from the 15th to 19th May, the Deer Disco and Bar pop-up will offer cocktails and DJ sets in a converted 1972 Leyland vintage bus.
The Hendrick’s Gin Parlour
Open between 9am to 11pm on the 15 to 18th May, and 9am to 9.30pm on 19 May, The Gin Parlour will offer gin cocktails with vinyl disks and a Michael Lo Sordo anniversary collection on display.
