Yuba Sutter Arts & Culture was awarded $140,000 from the California Arts Council as part of its Impact Grants and State Local Partnership programs during the 2023 grant cycle, officials said.  

The area arts council intends to use these grant funds to help support a program that engages young students in art projects that promote an understanding of green spaces. This class will use art as a “jumping-off point” to explore urban green spaces with an emphasis on answering the question: “How does urbanization affect surrounding rural areas?”
