ZTE has unveiled its latest innovation in mobile technology with the release of the ZTE Libero Flip, a vertically folding screen phone, in Japan. Priced at ¥63,000 (approximately 420 USD), the device is set to hit the shelves on February 29. Anticipation is high as it is expected to be the Nubia Flip, slated for release in China.

The standout feature of the device is its screen configuration. It boasts a 6.9-inch internal screen with a resolution of 2790 × 1188, complemented by a 1.43-inch 466 × 466 circular external screen. This external screen supports various functions such as taking selfies, recording audio, checking step counts, weather updates, and music control.

In the camera department, the ZTE Libero Flip is equipped with a 50MP primary camera coupled with a 2MP depth-of-field lens on the rear, while the front-facing camera is a 16MP shooter. Notably, the front camera supports hovering to take photos and offers additional features.

The device packs a 4,310mAh battery with support for 33W QC4+/PD3.0 fast charging, allowing for a full charge in approximately 73 minutes. It also features side fingerprint recognition and face recognition for enhanced security, along with connectivity options like Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and FeliCa-compatible NFC.

The ZTE Libero Flip is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen1 processor and comes with a single storage configuration option of 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
