STRONGSVILLE, Ohio — The owners of SouthPark Mall are planning to redevelop the shopping center, possibly adding a hotel, microbreweries, a fitness center, a grocery store, medical facilities and outdoor playing fields.

First, however, the owners — Kize Capital LP in New York City and Spinoso Real Estate Group in Syracuse, N.Y. — need City Council to amend the zoning code as it relates to shopping center districts.
