“HIGH PRIORITY” VIOLATIONS LOGGED IN REPORT.
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Popular health club “Life Time Fitness” at 1499 Yamato Road in Boca Raton was cited for multiple “high priority” violations by a health inspector reporting to Florida’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Life Time Fitness was not ordered to shut down, but was subjected to an unannounced follow-up inspection. The violations include rodent issues as well as safety problems.

High Priority – Rodent activity present as evidenced by rodent droppings found. Observed 8 rodent droppings on floor under shelves in dry storage room. Storage room is located at the back of house in a separate room from cook line / kitchen. Cook line is at the front of the house. Operator removed rodent droppings, cleaned and sanitized area during inspection. **Admin Complaint**
High Priority – Toxic substance/chemical improperly stored. Observed chemical spray bottle containing sanitizer on top of reach in freezer at cook line. Operated removed. **Corrected On-Site** **Warning**
High Priority – Vacuum breaker missing at mop sink faucet or on fitting/splitter added to mop sink faucet. **Warning**
Intermediate – Establishment has no written procedures for employees to follow in response to a vomiting or diarrheal event where the vomit or diarrhea is discharged onto surfaces in the establishment. Emailed clean up procedures **Warning**
Intermediate – No currently certified food service manager on duty with four or more employees engaged in food preparation/handling. A follow-up inspection on November 21st, one day after the initial inspection, yielded just one “high priority” violation:
