9 food rules suggested by an Ayurveda expert to follow in changing weather | The Times of India

Ayurveda suggests limiting the consumption of certain dairy products such as milk, butter, as they potentially could increase mucus production in the respiratory system. For individuals prone to respiratory issues, this precaution becomes especially important. The cold and damp nature of winter can exacerbate such concerns, and dairy products such as milk, butter, which are known to be cold and heavy, may further contribute to the accumulation of mucus and phlegm in the body. You could instead consume jīvanīya ghṛta which is prepared by cooking almonds and other drugs like kharjūra, akṣoṭa, munjāta, abhiṣuka etc. in ghee. You can consume this along with honey.
