Webster, N.Y. — Staying active is essential for good health at any age, and the Bay View YMCA underscored this message by hosting its Active Older Adults Celebration on Wednesday.
The event highlighted the dedication of senior citizens who strive to maintain their fitness.
The celebration featured a variety of fun activities, including exercise classes, boat rides, and even a zipline, offering something for everyone to enjoy.
Ann Dean, a YMCA member, expressed the welcoming atmosphere of the event. “One thing that we’ve been talking about is how real you can be. You can just be yourself. You can be silly, you can be goofy. It’s like a large family reunion, a huge family reunion,” she said.
The event drew seniors from several different counties, showcasing the growing popularity of the annual celebration.
