Do you remember when you got your first bicycle? You rode that thing every chance you got. Countless miles and hours passed as you pedaled around the neighborhood. And that feeling of freedom and fun was heightened when you were out with your buddies.

Mark Meldrum, of the United Kingdom, made the journey to Texas just to take part in the Bike Around the Bay cycling event.
The route took cyclists over the Intercoastal Waterway in High Island.
Members of the Galveston Bay Foundation cycling team made a stop at the Anahuac Wildlife Refuge Park breakpoint. Pictured, from left, are Katie Bagwell, Ellen Yarrell, Donna Plewa-Allen, Mike Parmet and Louis Selig.
The team of 18 members, who raised close to $22,000, was ranked among the top 10 fundraisers. Their efforts helped the foundation raise more than $675,000.
Riders of all fitness levels made the trek from Baytown to Galveston and back again in the two-day ride.
The team from Saint Arnold Brewing Company was the top fundraiser, bringing in nearly $54,000. They were also the largest team with 172 members.
