EAU CLAIRE (WQOW) – A southside Eau Claire gym will be a part of the YMCA of the Chippewa Valley starting in the new year. 

In a press release Tuesday morning the YMCA said they will turn Eau Claire Fitness into the Eau Claire South YMCA starting January 1, 2024. This will be the third full-service facility for the YMCA of the Chippewa Valley. 

The gym will still provide a fitness equipment along with group exercises classes, water fitness, pickleball and more. 

President & Chief Executive Officer of the YMCA of the Chippewa Valley said in the press release, “We are deeply grateful to Laurie and Paul Powers, owners of Eau Claire Fitness for their leadership throughout the process.”

The press release did not mention what will happen to memberships for existing gym members.
