SWAMPSCOTT, MA — Swampscott is planning a day to introduce residents to all the ways they can get more active and embark on a healthier lifestyle with the help of area businesses and facilities this spring with the town’s Health & Fitness Day planned for March 17.
The Recreation Department, Health Department and Swampscott Senior Center are collaborating on the program that will invite local businesses in the fields of health, fitness and wellness to give demonstrations and market their services, classes and products to residents for free.
The town is seeking gyms, workout facilities, spas, chiropractors, dental and doctor offices, nonprofit organizations, holistic healers and those in related fields to register for one of the 30-minute time slots.
Raffle prizes are also being sought for a “free-for-all” table.
The event is set for Swampscott High School from noon to 4 p.m. and is free to attend.
Those interested in participating are asked to reach out to the Swampscott Recreation Department at [email protected].
