Inter Milan Coach To Make A Last-Minute Decision On Fitness Of Ex Arsenal & Man United Veteran For Juventus Clash

The fitness of forward Alexis Sanchez for tomorrow evening’s Serie A match between Juventus and Inter Milan will come down to a last-minute decision.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, The last training before the match will be decisive for understanding whether the 34-year-old can be part of the squad.

Veteran former Arsenal, Manchester United, and Barcelona forward Sanchez was the last Inter player to return to training from international duty during the break.

The Chilean also came back carrying a minor injury.

Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has confirmed that Sanchez is suffering from an ankle sprain.

The problem for Sanchez is not serious. It is not as though the 34-year-old will be out for several matches with the minor sprain.

But given that the former Gunners forward came back only on Friday, the timeline will be quite tight as far as recovering for tomorrow’s match away to Juventus.

According to Sky, Sanchez’s fitness won’t be clear until tomorrow.

The Chilean was not ready to be part of the squad today.

But Sanchez will take part in tomorrow’s training session. If he is able to show sufficient improvement in his condition, Inzaghi will call him up.

That would hardly be out of the question.

But it will come down to the final hours before the match.

In any event, Sanchez will at most be on the bench for the start of tomorrow evening’s match.

The Chilean would not be a candidate for the Inter starting eleven in any event.

Rather, it will be Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram leading the line from the first minute.

But Sanchez could give the team a different option from the bench.

Meanwhile, Marko Arnautovic is also fit for tomorrow’s match.
