Ever wondered what actors eat while filming your favorite shows and movies? Kevin Bacon just gave us a behind-the-scenes look at his trailer when he was on set for The Bondsman, and it included his go-to lunch.
On his Instagram, the Golden Globe winner shared the lunch he puts together every day on set, which prioritized made-ahead or leftover ingredients that he keeps on standby.
“I like a good tuna salad sandwich,” Bacon admits as he assembles his sandwich. The bread he uses for his sandwich is gluten-free Sigdal Bakeri Norwegian Crispbread, which has four grams of protein per slice. His made-ahead tuna salad looks creamy with minimal ingredients, and he tops it off with freshly sliced tomato and avocado.
Many celebrities, including Matthew McConaughey and Miranda Lambert are big fans of tuna salad, and we can understand why. Tuna is a great source of protein and omega-3 fatty acids, which are beneficial for your brain health, heart health and eye health. Whether you’re enjoying your tuna salad on a sandwich like Bacon, in lettuce wraps or with crackers, it’s a satiating, healthy lunch choice
Bacon enjoys his sandwich with a fiber-packed side of leftover fruits and vegetables. We think he would love our highly-rated Purple Fruit Salad which can be made in advance.
Also in his trailer, Bacon has a coffee pot, French press and a box of green tea, so the actor is definitely caffeinated on busy workdays. But to drink with his lunch, the actor grabbed a lemon flavored Spindrift, preferring sparkling water for the afternoon.
A high-protein lunch will keep you satisfied for longer, so focusing on healthy protein-packed foods for your midday meal like fish, beans, tofu or eggs is a nutritious way to complete the workday.
