Fitness International LLC, which does business as LA Fitness, defeated US Department of Justice allegations that the company has a practice of failing to accommodate individuals with disabilities at its gyms across the country.
The government’s claims of a pattern or practice of ADA violations across more than 700 US locations “fail to permit an inference that the alleged discrimination is systemic rather than random,” Judge Stephen V. Wilson of the US District Court for the Central District of California said in a June 6 order.
