Making your own fruit and veggie juice can be a hydrating source of vitamins and nutrients. Celebs like Joanna Gaines and Mindy Kaling have their favorites, and we keep our own healthy juice recipes on rotation.
There’s a new beverage that we’ll be adding to our juice lineup, but it’s not new to Martha Stewart—she makes it all the time. Published in the recent edition of Martha Stewart Gardening, the garden expert shares her favorite ways to preserve her fresh bounty, and that includes this refreshing green juice that she swears by.
Pull out your juicer and try out Stewart’s hydrating, 6-ingredient drink you’re going to want to make all season long.
Here’s the ingredients you will need for Martha Stewart’s Green Juice:
- 1 green pear (such as Anjou)
- 2 celery stalks with leaves
- 1 Kirby or mini cucumber
- 1 bunch parsley
- 1-inch piece fresh, unpeeled ginger
- 2 orange wedges
This recipe uses a juicer. If you’re on the market for one, shop from these hand-picked centrifugal juicers and these masticating juicers approved by our dietitians and Test Kitchen.
In your juicer, simply press in all of your ingredients with the skin and rinds left on everything. Once your juice is pressed, stir your liquid and immediately enjoy.
The fruits and vegetables in this juice are not only nutrient-dense, but they’re packed with water to keep you hydrated. Plus, unpeeled ginger has gut- and heart-health benefits, and it can help relieve symptoms of illness like nausea and vomiting. Safe to say, this no-added-sugar juice can help you feel better on sick days.
If you’re looking for more juicing inspo after buying the ingredients above, our own Green Juice recipe is similar to Stewart’s as it features the sweetness of pear, plus water-packed celery and earthy parsley for a revitalizing sip.
