A Mexican fitness influencer and businesswoman who has amassed millions of followers on various social media platforms, including Instagram and TikTok, has been criticized for performing an energetic mid-flight workout in the middle of an airplane aisle.
Bárbara de Regil, who owns her own protein and collagen brand, was traveling with her husband on an Emirates flight when she suddenly got up from her Business Class seat and started to perform a workout in front of other passengers.

… This has got to be even worse than galley yoga![image or embed]

Donning the airline’s baby blue Business Class pajamas and with eyeshades still on her head, de Regil started off her 38,000 feet workout by running on the spot before bringing it up a notch with jump squats.
Perhaps accustomed to such antics, de Regil’s husband sat calmly in his Business Class seat, scrolling on his mobile phone without once turning to look at what his influencer wife was up to.
The 18-second clip was posted to de Regil’s social media accounts with a caption that explained that she wanted to use the mid-flight opportunity to squeeze a workout after 38 hours of travel.
Flight attendants are certainly used to seeing exercise-mad passengers seeking out space in the galley to perform their favorite stretches and yoga poses – appropriately nicknamed ‘Galley Yoga’ by frustrated aircrew who have their workspace taken up by downward dogs.
That being said, I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone launch into quite such an energetic workout at de Regil’s, especially in the middle of the aisle.
Some airlines encourage passengers to get up and stretch their legs, in particular on long-haul flights, but the key is not to do anything that would excessively affect other passengers.
