New fitness program aims to get older adults moving


LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) – The Oklahoma Healthy Aging Initiative partnered with the Lawton Public Library to bring a new fitness program to older adults across Lawton.

These SAIL classes, which are fitness classes that can be done sitting or standing, will start every Monday and Wednesday between April 7 and May 14.

They’ll be between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. at the Patterson Center.

The exercises in the program aim to improve strength, balance, and fitness to keep older adults moving as they age.

Space is limited, so you’ll have to register.
