Samsung brings health and fitness features to TVs: All the details

Samsung has introduced a new way to approach health and fitness by integrating smart features into its TVs. In a recent software update for the Galaxy Watch 4 and the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, the company has introduced some health features, as per a report by SamMobile.
The update, which brings the firmware version of the Watch 4 to R860XXU1HXB7 and the Watch 4 Classic to R870XXU1HXB7, includes three important features.
But before that, it includes March 2024 security patch, that addresses several security vulnerabilities.
However, the most notable enhancement lies in the integration of health and fitness features with Samsung TVs and smart monitors released in 2024. By connecting their Galaxy Watch 4 or Galaxy Watch 4 Classic to these compatible devices, users can now seamlessly display their workout data on the big screen. This integration not only offers a more immersive workout experience but also underscores Samsung’s commitment to leveraging its ecosystem to facilitate holistic health management.
Other features and improvements
The update further improves the stability of these two smartwatches to ensure smooth overall performance across various functions and applications.
It is to be noted that the features are currently rolling out in the South Korean region, however, Samsung plans to roll out the update gradually to other regions over the coming weeks.
For those unaware, Samsung Galaxy Watch 4, Watch 4 Classic are around two years old now and they were the first Samsung smartwatches to come with the WearOS operating system underneath the One UI Watch custom user interface.
Also, these watches are still on sale at a relatively cheaper price tag. You can grab the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic Bluetooth version for as low as Rs 8,999 during an ongoing sale.
