FLINT, Mich. — The Crim Fitness Foundation has another event coming up in their lineup that will give individuals the chance to not only compete in a healthy and fun racing event but also a chance to have some fun with friends and family while doing so.
For just the second time the Mott Miles Challenge will return with an opportunity for participants to either run or walk as many one-mile loops as they choose on a course closed to traffic. Participants can run or walk continuously between loops or take a break to enjoy themselves in the “party central” area at the start and finish lines.
“We have a lot of standard road races where there’s a set start and finish this one does have a set start and finish, but it’s a three-hour course. It’s from 9 to 12 Everybody starts together at 9 a.m. but the course stays open for three hours. So you could choose to run or walk one mile, five, ten or as many as you’d like in that amount of time and you can take breaks. We kind of have a party around the start and finish line so it’s really more of an informal run but we have some really interesting awards for fastest loop, fastest to three, five and ten miles so it’s kind of a choose your own adventure make your own race type of event but all finishers regardless of the distance do get the awesome shirt and medal,” said Brandon Morgan, Director of External Relations with the Crim Fitness Foundation.
The race will take place on Mott Community College campus on April 12th, from 9 a.m. to Noon. Information on the event along with ticket/registration info can be found on the Crim Fitness Foundation website here.
