STEUBENVILLE — Angela Lombardi, owner of Fresh Twist on Sunset Boulevard, presented tips about healthy eating to members of the Woman’s Club of Steubenville during its March meeting.

Gathered at the Clubhouse at Steeple Chase, Charlotte Christian, program chairman, introduced Lombardi, after which the women enjoyed a chai pudding provided by their speaker as an example of a plant-based, high-fiber diet — which helps promote healthy nutrition.

Two new members Helen Houghton and Eleanor Welday, were presented by Barbara Sweeney and welcomed by the group.

President Dr. Suzanne Curn-Escobar presided.

She acknowledged a note of thanks from the Jefferson County Historical Museum for a recent financial contribution made to the nonprofit by the woman’s club.

Secretary Judy Brancazio announced upcoming meetings, speakers and events, with Lori Featherolf, Steubenville Parks and Recreation director, serving as the April 1 speaker.

On May 6, Cynthia Morris of Our Place, an activity and resource center, will address club members.

AIM Women’s Center will be the recipient of a baby shower on June 3, officials stated.
